The unlit waiting room was upstairs. Upholstered seats were arranged along the white walls. A tall plant stood by the corner ... was it real or was it fake? Out of nowhere a red LED came to life, shortly followed by a classic ring, revealing a functional grey phone and its sidetable.

At the end of the corridor, the door was shut but a yellow glow emanated from the bottom interstice and was ominously reflected by the polished black tiles . The phone ring pierced through hard surfaces. It could not be ignored but then again everyone had gone home.
